header-calendarFor their second year of the Marge Wade Annual Fall Memorial Bike/Walk Event, the Potomac Highlands Cyclists are having a fund-raiser on Saturday, October 16, 2010, to help support Hardy County 4-H youth.  "Biking for 4-H'ers" is the slogan for Potomac Highlands Cyclists, who helped raise more than $3,500 for Grant Memorial Hospice last year in their "Helping Hospice Help Others" event.

This event is for you if you like to walk, ride a bicycle, participate in silent auctions or if you just want to make a donation to help send Hardy County youth to local and state 4-H camps.

If you would like to donate to the silent auction, you may drop the item off at the Hardy County Health and Wellness Center located on Spring Avenue in Moorefield.  If you would rather have your donation picked up, please call 304-434-2544 to speak with Skip or Holly Landes, and they will be glad to answer other questions you may have.  The deadline for donating silent auction items is September 15, 2010.  You may preview the silent auction items on Facebook, and the items will soon be on display at the Judy & Judy Law Office building on Main Street in Moorefield.

Need more information?  Want to look at the cycling routes?  Would you like a registration form?  Check out the cyclists' new website at www.phcyclists.com.

Cyclists who mail in their registration from by September 15, 2010, will receive a free screened T-shirt.
