National Internet Day

Remember that time before the Internet? Me neither! But what our parents say is true! On October 28, 1969, our only options for contacting each other were by phone, letter, or perhaps telegram, but one day later the first message was sent via the Internet. Hilariously, the message was “LO” because the network crashed before “LOGIN” could be entered. But, from these humble beginnings, an entirely new information and communication ecosystem was born, where 74 trillion emails are exchanged every year and 1.5 billion websites are live and just waiting to be visited. Way to go, Internet! You’re 53 years young today. For more helpful tips and information, visit our Tech Tips webpage!
