East Hardy High School needs new physical education equipment, and Hardy Telecommunications has stepped forward to donate funds to the project.
Derek Barr, Hardy director of customer service and sales, marketing and human resources, presented a $100 check to EHHS Physical Education Teacher Devin Hamilton. The school is in an ongoing effort to raise money for new physical education equipment, and the check is earmarked to offset some of those costs.
“Physical education is just as important throughout high school as it is throughout a student’s earlier years. All students, not just athletes, need to stay in good physical shape. A student’s future health often can be affected by their exercise habits during high school. We’re happy to help with the costs of bringing new equipment that can be enjoyed by everyone at East Hardy High,” Derek said.
