Hardy Telecommunications has been designated a Business Gold member of the Moorefield Athletic Booster Club after donating $250 to the group.
Derek Barr, Hardy’s director of customer service and sales, marketing and human resources, presented the check to Booster Club President Amy Crites and Secretary Nicole Keller at Hardy’s Moorefield office. The monetary amount denotes a Business Club membership level.
“We certainly thank Hardy Telecommunications for their contribution to MHS Athletics,” Ms. Crites said. “They’ve been a faithful supporter of MHS sports for years.”
The Moorefield Athletic Booster Club is a non-profit organization formed to support and aid Moorefield High School student athletes. All fund-raisers go directly to support student athletes in all sports.
“We work very closely with the administrators, teachers, coaches, and student body to promote pride, unity, sportsmanship and enthusiasm in our sports programs, as well as (providing) financial aid not covered by the school system,” the boosters said in their sponsorship materials.
Derek said Hardy Telecommunications is pleased to donate to various sports programs throughout the county.
“The focus on teamwork and dedication that student-athletes learn through sports will benefit them later in life regardless of their career pursuits,” he said.
