Derek Barr, Hardy’s director of customer service and sales, marketing, and human resources, gave the check to Hardy County Community Foundation Executive Director Amy Pancake at Hardy’s Moorefield office on February 19. Hardy Telecommunications has been a regular contributor to the Community Foundation for the past several years.

Mrs. Pancake thanked Derek and Hardy Telecommunications for the contribution.

“Hardy Telecommunications’ generous support of the Hardy County Community Foundation over the years has allowed us to provide grants to worthwhile organizations and support local projects, host events and conduct activities that recognize scholarship and grant recipients, honor those whose funds made these grants and scholarships possible, educate and inform our community about the Foundation, promote the value of volunteerism, and say thank you to those who give back,” she said.

Derek said the Foundation helps the Hardy County community in various ways.

“Over the years, the Foundation and those who contribute to its causes have done everything from helping needy students attend college with scholarships to improving parks and community centers throughout the county. We’re happy to be the Foundation’s Partner in Philanthropy and to encourage others to support these worthy causes,” he said.
