Hardy Seeking Fiber Projects Specialist-Customer Service Representative

Hardy Telecommunications currently is accepting applications through December 31 for the position of Fiber Projects Specialist-Customer Service Representative. This position will work closely with our Fiber Projects Manager and Customer Service Manager and will handle various organizational aspects of our Hardy OneNet fiber-optic service expansion, installations and video reporting. This employee will work primarily out of the Moorefield office at 121 South Main St. but will be asked to work in all offices at different times.

Working with the Fiber Projects Manager, the Fiber Projects Specialist will:

  • Assist with the OneNet installation calendar;
  • Contact customers regarding permitting, construction schedules and installation confirmation;
  • Follow-up on the status of construction and splicing projects;
  • Coordinate with contractors on customer installations;
  • Work with spreadsheets to input contractor information and finalize billing, including submitting for payment;
  • Work with contractors to maintain inventory;
  • Compile reports based on installation data;
  • Generate and submit programmer reporting monthly; and
  • Maintain regulatory compliance tracking.
This position also will at times work with the Customer Service area, including:
  • Greeting and assisting customers;
  • Routing calls;
  • Receiving and posting payments;
  • Completing service orders; and
  • Selling and promoting company services.
Qualifications for the position include:
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Sheets and other software;
  • Good communication skills within an organization and with customers;
  • Willingness to work in any office and with various areas of company;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Analytical, organizational and time management skills; and
  • Willingness to suggest and explore new processes.
