Scam HardyNet Email Circulating About Webmail

A new scam email is circulating that claims to be from HardyNet but is, in fact, almost certainly an attempt to install malware on your device. The email claims that HardyNet is implementing a new, improved webmail version. Several parts of the email show that it is a scam.
First, even though the From title lists hardynet.com as the sender, checking the actual email address shows you that it is from a completely different domain. The email asks you to click a link – you should always be suspicious of emails that urge you to take quick action. If you place your mouse over the link but don’t click it, you will see that it would take you to a domain that has nothing to do with HardyNet. Lastly, even the title of the email contains a spelling error, using “Annouce” instead of “announce.” While that isn’t ALWAYS a sign of a scam (we’re not perfect), it should definitely cause you to look more closely at the email.
Below is a snippet of the fake email with no active links, demonstrating how the scammers try to trick you into acting without thinking first:
“We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you. As we kick off this new month, we are delighted to announce the release of our improved webmail version.
